Frequently asked questions

How long does a gel manicure last?

With normal wear, two to three weeks of chip-resistant shine is typical. How you use your hands matters: lots of water, cleaning products or typing hard on nail tips shortens the run. A fresh set every few weeks keeps them looking intentional rather than grown out.

Does gel polish damage your nails?

Not when it is applied and removed properly, which is the part that matters. Damage almost always comes from peeling or picking gel off, which takes layers of the natural nail with it. Applied carefully and removed gently, gel is one of the kindest ways to wear colour for weeks at a time.

How should I remove gel polish?

Please do not peel it. Book a soak-off and it comes away without harming the natural nail underneath. If you are removing it at home, wrap each nail with acetone and foil, give it time, then buff lightly. Picking gel off undoes weeks of nail health in a minute.

Do I need a patch test before a lash or brow tint?

If it is your first tint, or your first visit in a long while, yes. A quick patch test a day or two before your appointment is the safe way to rule out a reaction before anything goes near your eyes. It takes a minute and it is worth every second.

How often should I get my brows done?

Most people rebook brow shaping every three to four weeks, which keeps the shape crisp without overworking the hairs. Tint softens over a similar window. Your therapist will suggest a rhythm that fits how fast your brows grow and how defined you like them.

Can I bring a photo of the look I want?

Please do, photos are the best brief there is. Nail art, a brow shape, a lash style you saw somewhere: bring it in and you will get an honest answer about how it will translate to you and what will suit your features and your routine.

My nails are weak or bitten. Can you still work with them?

Yes, and you will not be judged. Short and damaged nails are exactly where good nail care starts. The right products protect what you have, keep everything gentle, and help your nails come back stronger set by set.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Plans change, everyone understands that. Just give as much notice as you can, ideally twenty four hours, so the time can go to someone else. A quick message is all it takes to find you a new spot.
